24 September : WAF took part in national Culture Night this year & what a great event it was with exhibition by bog wood sculptor Thomas Flynn, the inaugural Yarn Art display based on all the contributions sent into WAF's 2013 fest yarnbomb, plus music in the Chapel with soprano Linsey Dempsey and organist Klaas Jan de Vries
20 June: What an amazing time we had for this years WAF, we hope you enjoyed it too & to see the full albums of all the events & excitement get yourself over to our facebook page here. Our special community projects - the Bags that carry thoughts, Bridge of Wonders & the Yarnbomb were a massive success- all down to the fantastic contributions by you- our WAF community :) We hope to build on these projects so keep an eye out for information.
A big 'Thank You' to all our funders, sponsors & supporters & especially to the dedicated WAF volunteers & you, our audience, for making it all such a memorable event!
20th May : The festival has launched! A great time was had by the huge numbers that turned out for WAF's 2013 opening event ( and 10th birthday party! ) on Sunday 19th May at Tinakilly House Hotel. With swinging entertainment by The Bugle Babes, craft fun, birthday cake and glorious sunshine, it was an occasion to remember. Only a couple of days left til the festival begins, see you soon!
10th May: Tickets now on sale for 'Connections' double bill guitar concert and Cáca Milis Cabaret from Track One and Earl's Newsagents in Wicklow Town. Buy early, they're going to be great gigs :)
17th April : Two more workshops are lined up for the bank holiday Monday - a knit & stitch wooly pom pom workshop & another 'Bridge of Wonders' workshop, making beautiful flowers from recyclable plastic bottles.
This is a drop in event, Monday 6th May from 11am til 3.30pm at the Assembly Hall on Bachelors Walk in Wicklow Town.

6th April '13: As a taster of WAF's yarnbomb project, with our super-yarners - Mary & Adele - we set up this installation at Wicklow's Black Castle area. Don't forget, closing date for getting your pieces in to us is 24th April
